Josef Suk | Serenade in E-flat, Op. 6

Béla Bartók | Music for Strings Percussion & Celesta

BPO is thrilled to present a two concert series featuring Brisbane’s most exciting new chamber ensemble, Ensemble Cherubim.

Led by Co-Artistic Directors Clare Cooney and Rory Smith, Ensemble Cherubim comprises a collection of Brisbane’s most talented emerging string players who are collectively dedicated to exploring intriguing repertoire, and delivering high quality performances.

In the second concert of the series, Ensemble Cherubim will perform Suk’s stunning and reflective Serenade, before being joined by guests of the BPO to perform Bartok’s atmospheric masterpiece: Music for Strings Percussion & Celesta.
