LawchestraQ Finale Concert

  • Old Museum Building 480 Gregory Tce Bowen Hills Australia (map)

with LawchestraQ and TLF Creative Big Band

The Legal Forecast Creative is delighted to invite you to its annual Finale Concert for 2020. Despite the difficulties of this year, LawchestraQ and the newly formed TLF Creative Big Band have been rehearsing to provide you with a relaxing evening of music in support of mental wellbeing within the legal profession. Set in the beautiful Old Museum Building in Bowen Hills, this year’s concert will be livestreamed to those who wish to be serenaded from the comforts of their home as well as a strictly limited number of audience members who will able to enjoy the full musical experience in person.

LawchestraQ will perform famous classical repertoire by Bizet, Sibelius, Mozart and Elgar, as well as some of your favourite toe-tapping folk tunes. This year we also introduce our talented Big Band who will swoon you with a swinging combination of jazz and blues. With something for every music lover, we encourage you to invite your family, friends and colleagues to what promises to be a wonderful evening.

LawchestraQ and its Big Band are ensembles run by volunteers and comprised of law students and members of the legal profession who are passionate about the benefits of creativity in legal practice and life generally.

This year, we are donating 20% of our net concert ticket sale proceeds and 100% of our net raffle ticket sale proceeds to Beyond Blue in support of mental health.

With support from our founding patron, the Honourable Justice Philippides of the Queensland Court of Appeal who will provide a short keynote address at the concert  and our generous sponsors, the Queensland Law Society, Cooper Grace Ward Lawyers, Irish Bentley Lawyers and Herbert Smith Freehills we invite you to join us for an evening of merriment, creative expression and beautiful music from the comforts of your home or from the beautiful Old Museum Concert Hall.
