And for something different from Australia’s Premier Choir. A program of cool choral jazz accompanied by a jazz quartet, featuring Will Todd’s Mass in Blue and Shearings’ Songs and Sonnets. Will Todd's Mass in Blue is a synthesis of two contrasting forms.

It combines the pathos of a Latin Mass (a compositional form which dates back to the 7th century) with African American Blues music (a style which developed in the latter half of the 19th century, and heavily influenced Jazz and Rock 'n Roll).

The result of this combination is a work which oozes with cool, syncopated, bluesy rhythms and melodies. Come hear the Queensland Choir sing Will Todd's Mass in Blue this July. It will be a concert not to be missed.
