The Wreckery & Halfway – Feb/Mar 2024 

Putting on a ‘Show” is a concept as old as time. Sadly, it’s lost some meaning as everything seems to rush by in a flash of data, a like and a follow! 

The Wreckery hail from a time when everything was DIY. Indy Melbourne mid ‘80s posters, records, warehouse gigs, yes DIY central! But man, there were some “shows” put on! 

Halfway are kindred spirits from a different decade and 2000 odd kms away. But a true band, fiercely independent and uncompromising. 

The Australian music family tree is vast, and our particular branch joins Halfway to the Wreckery via Jon Willsteed, the two eras via the Go-Betweens via QLD 80’s music scene. 

Two bands together who paint vastly different landscapes through their music, but hold the same values.
