In Conversation with Kadiatu Kanneh-Mason and Ed Le Brocq (ABC Classic FM)

  • Old Museum Building 480 Gregory Tce Bowen Hills Australia (map)

presented by Queensland Youth Orchestras and Brisbane Writers Festival

Award winning author Kadiatu Kanneh-Mason discusses her book HOUSE OF MUSIC with Ed Le Brocq from ABC Classic

"Seven brothers and sisters. All of them classically trained musicians. Superstar cellist, Sheku, was BBC Young Musician of the Year and performed at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The eldest sibling, Isata, has released several internationally acclaimed albums of solo piano works. These siblings don’t come from the rarefied environment of elite music schools, but from a state comprehensive school in Nottingham UK. How did they do it?"

Meet the mother behind this extraordinary family ahead of their QPAC performance at this exclusive, one-off event.

Please note there will be no musical performances by the Kanneh-Mason family at this event.

Tickets to the family's Brisbane performance at QPAC are available here
