Around the World
Join the Brisbane Concert Orchestra as it takes to the stage of the heritage-listed Old Museum Building to perform an enchanting selection of music from all corners of the globe.
Under the baton of BCO’s Musical Director Matthew Schwarz, you will be transported from the realm of Armenian folklore with Khachaturian's Sabre Dance through to the highlands of Ireland with a medley from Lord of the Dance. Also on the program are works including Hungarian March by Berlioz, Frisch in's Feld! by Strauss Jr. and Nocturne for Strings in D Major by Ukrainian composer, Theodore Akimenko.
Returning as violin soloist is Julia Hill, who will perform the deeply moving Lark Ascending by English composer Ralph Vaughan Williams. This is an afternoon of music to remember, so book your tickets now!
